Sliding doors give increased access in hospital

Patients from all over Finland are treated in the New Children´s Hospital. Many of the more demanding children’s illnesses for example children’s heart surgery and transplants that are done in Finland are done in the new Children’s Hospital.

The surroundings of the Children’s Hospital demand durability and functionality from their structures and furnitures. This also applies to the door solutions. Sliding doors were chosen for many of the doors, so that rooms could be accessible, safe and durable. Helaform provides the perfect sliding doors systems for these requirements. Mattiovi (Jeld-Wen) made several doors for the Children’s Hospital and in all their sliding doors they used Helaform’s 75 series: Cover plate set 75 Flow Curved and Flow.

Cover plate set 75 Flow’s cover plate is installed without screws, which makes is easy and quick to install. The cover plate covers the track and fittings creating a clean and stylish finish to the whole set. The sets weight capacity is up to 100 kg. The benefits of a top-loading system is that you can use a wall fixing bottom guide, which leaves the floor accessible. This system can also be provided with a Soft Close feature, which makes the system safe and comfortable by closing and opening the door smoothly and silently.
