What is the difference between a Soft Close and a Soft Stop?

Helaform offers different additional functions to indoor sliding doors. The most common functions are the Soft close and Soft stop. Even though their design, size and price are different they can easily be mixed up, so we though we would explain these two functions in more detail. In a nutshell the other one closes the door and the other one stops the door. Please find below a few features of both functions:

Soft close

• CLOSES the door slowly and effortlessly with out slamming the door shut.
• Can be installed to the closing or opening end.
• Is installed completely inside the track.
• Available in two different versions: blue for 75 kg weight capacity and black for 100 kg weight capacity.

Soft stop -damper

• STOPS softly the doors movement.
• Keeps the door in an open position.
• Can be installed to the closing or opening end.
• Is installed completely inside the track.
