The big sliding doors in the outdoor storage allow the doors to be opened from the entire width of the door opening

In 2020, Finnvacum Ltd, which specializes in the import, marketing and maintenance of food industry production and packaging machines, built new premises in Sipoo, in the Söderkulla industrial area. The new offices were designed by Insinööritoimisto Jouni Sorvoja Oy and Rakennusliike U.Lipsanen acted as the contractor in the project.

A large outdoor warehouse which was connected to the loading dock, where it was necessary to be able to move approx. 7-meter pallets directly through the doorways. Therefore, sliding doors were the most effective solution for the warehouse. The doorway is 14 meter wide and 6 meter high and has a support beam in the middle of the doorway. There were two sliding doors, so that one 7 meter wide door opening can always be opened from each sides at the time. The doors have a steel frame lined with corrugated iron and were manufactured by Seppäkoski Oy. Helaform’s 500 series with double tracks were used as a track system for the sliding doors, and there was a total of 28 meters of track.
